In our story, Charlie’s teacher asked the class what their dream for the future would be.  All of the class knew what they wanted, but Charlie did not.  Some students wanted to be actors, astronauts, engineers, etc. Charlie gave it a lot of thought and came back the next day with her thoughts.  She didn’t know what she wanted to be, but she did know the kind of person she wanted to be.  This is a wonderful and thoughtful book!

Renee Kurilla has written amazing books about the seasons and this one is exceptional.  This story, which is in rhyming verse, describes every activity and event that occurs in the springtime!  It opens up good conversation to have as children listen to this story.  This is a must read for this time of year.

It’s a week before Thanksgiving and all of the turkeys banded together and went on strike.  The teacher received a letter telling the class the news.  It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without the turkeys, so the class decided to hold a Turkey Talent Show to show their appreciation.  The turkeys came and performed and Thanksgiving was saved.

This is the perfect book as we enter the fall season.  In our story, tradition has it that the last leaf that falls from the trees is a “wishing leaf”.  All of the animals go out to watch and wait as the last leaf is getting ready to fall. Unfortunately, it hung on until they all got too tired to stay, except for Bear.  Please get this sweet book and find out what happened.
