Danica McKellar has done it again with a wonderful read aloud about math.  This time her focus is counting to 100.  She incorporates “love” and counting in a beautiful way with numerous opportunities to practice counting from 1 to 100.  This is actually a perfect book for Valentine’s Day.

In our story, Santa is about finished with his route on Christmas eve. but can’t resist eating a few more cookies on his last stop. However, getting back up the chimney became a problem.  With the help of a number of friends, Santa makes it up the chimney and on his way back to the North Pole.  Children will love this rhyming tale.

Turkeys on Strike

It’s a week before Thanksgiving and all of the turkeys banded together and went on strike.  The teacher received a letter telling the class the news.  It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without the turkeys, so the class decided to hold a Turkey Talent Show to show their appreciation.  The turkeys came and performed and Thanksgiving was saved.

This is the perfect book as we enter the fall season.  In our story, tradition has it that the last leaf that falls from the trees is a “wishing leaf”.  All of the animals go out to watch and wait as the last leaf is getting ready to fall. Unfortunately, it hung on until they all got too tired to stay, except for Bear.  Please get this sweet book and find out what happened.

Bob is a seagull and nothing is going right for him.  He thinks that his luck has changed, when a bird offers to give hum his red jacket with French fries in the pockets.  Bob thinks that the jacket is helping him make friends.  He is terrified when he loses the jacket.  He realizes that he really didn’t need the jacket after all.  This is a book about gaining self confidence.
