We now have a sequel to one of our favorite books, “Can I Be Your Dog?”.  In our  new story, Arfy finds a kitten named Scamper and tries to find a home for him.  Alfy writes letters to everyone in the neighborhood, but can’t find the right home until his last try.  The home he found for Scamper was perfect.  Put this book on your reading list.  It will also give the listener a lesson on the lost art of letter writing.

Supreme Court Justice, Sonia Sotomayor has written a classic book that all children and adults should hear and read.  She discusses the importance of helping and giving to others in any way that we can.  You don’t have to be a doctor, teacher or judge to devote your life to helping the people around you who are in need.  We can all help in many ways.  This is a must read and would be perfect in every home and classroom.

Most children have had the experience of exchanging valentines at school.  Unfortunately, in our story, Gilbert was angry with a couple of his classmates and made a very poor decision when writing his valentine messages.  It caused a lot of chaos during the valentine exchange, but all works out in the end.  Children will be able to relate to sharing valentines with their classmates and will enjoy Gilbert’s story.

This amazing book by Amanda Gorman is a must read for children and adults.   You may recall that Ms. Gorman is the youngest presidential inaugural poet in U. S. history.  This beautiful book is an optimistic look at change in the world and the importance of tolerance and love for each other.  The illustrations highlight Ms. Gorman’s insightful words.  This is a book to just read, enjoy and reflect.  This would be a beautiful gift for anyone on your list.
