In this amazing book, LeBron James asks children to make a promise to be the very best person that they can become.  The text is in rhyming form and the illustrations are extraordinary.  The author’s words are very inspirational, not just for children, but for all who read it.  Put this one on your read-aloud list.

If you are a Tik Tok  user, you will be very familiar with Noodle the Pug and his friend Jonathan.  They are quite successful at determining the kind of day it will be, either a “bones” day or a “no bones” day.  As it turns out, either kind of day can be a good one.  We are so pleased that Jonathan put this sweet story into a children’s book.  You will fall in love with Noodle and Jonathan and please check them out on Tik Tok.

This beautiful book gives us all insight on the power of “sisterhood”.  This story is about a group of girls in a neighborhood who bonded together, like real sisters, to do good work.  It also reveals the power and the importance of reaching out to others and the wonderful things that can happen when you do.   This lovely story demonstrates inclusion and community.  A must read!

This beautiful book describes how we are all different and yet can work together to create something beautiful.  Joanna Gaines challenges us to embrace who we are while still remaining kind and compassionate to others.  This would be a lovely gift for a recent graduate.  The final page of the book says it all, “The world needs who YOU were made to be.”

This beautiful book describes for children the lovely transition from winter to spring.  It describes the changes from snow to blooming trees, the birth of baby birds and the growth of seeds into flowers.  The illustrations are lovely and add so much to the text.   Put this one on your spring reading list.

Misty the Cloud, A Very Stormy Day            By: Dylan Dreyer with Alan Katz            Illustrated by:  Rosie Butcher

Ages:  Preschool through Second Grade

The author of our story is Dylan Dreyer, who is a meteorologist on the Today Show.  Our story is about Clare, who has a ballgame, and Misty the Cloud, who is having a bad day.  As you might guess, Misty has the power to ruin the day for Clare.  The game is rained out by an angry Misty, but both of our main characters end up having a very good day.  This book is about making the best of a difficult situation.  It also focuses on the science behind how rain happens.  The author has also included many weather facts at the end of the book.  This is a great springtime story!
